Season 8 Premiere: Twenty Vicodin

The season premiere of House MD's eighth season aired Monday night (Oct 3).
It was great.
House is in jail.
And getting bullied.
And being squeezed to give part of his daily Vicodin dose to other guys
(the episode is titled Twenty Vicodin).
At the end of the seventh season, he drove his car into Cuddy's house
and then fled the country for three months.
The episode opens with House sitting before a board
considering releasing him early after eight months
of a one year prison sentence for "goodish behavior."
So typical House. Perfect description.
He was only going to be locked up for five days then be released on parole.
But . . . knowing House,
of course he does something to mess that up on the day he's supposed to leave.
We are introduced to the new cast member,
Odette Annable as Dr. Jessica Adams, the prison doctor.
He offers his expertise at the prison clinic while cleaning it,
but ends up getting Dr. Adams (and himself) in trouble.
Now he's in solitary confinement for six more months.
But maybe not . . .
The preview for next week's episode gave the impression that Foreman
is busting him out early because they need his help on a case.
And it looks like his friendship with Wilson has hit rock-bottom.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode.
Well, I enjoy every episode
...and usually end up squealing like a five year old girl.
So maybe I'm not the critic.

But it will definitely be interesting how the season plays out with:
*House's legal "issues"
*the two new female doctors
*Cuddy gone
*the friendship of Wilson and House on the rocks
