NY Med

So ABC has a new documentary show. It's called NY Med and it could not have come at a better time. Just as House ended and my heart felt like it had a hole, this show premiered just in time to fill the void. I have only seen two episodes. Five minutes into the first one and I was immediately hooked! For a full year, ABC cameras had unprecedented access to document the mayhem and the miracles that occur daily in the Columbia and Weill Cornell Medical Centers, the crown jewels of the prestigious New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. This show is exciting and just enough to make a premed squeal.

The first episode aired July 10. A new episode comes on every Tuesday at 10pm. I have seen episodes 4 (July 31) and 5 (August 7). The website, http://nymedshow.com/, has full episodes in case you missed one. It also lists all the doctors and nurses with biographies, as well as all the patients, so you can follow up and see how they are doing after their appearance. The website also has extra scenes and sneak peeks.

I am so excited for this show. The best part?
It's about REAL doctors and patients and drama and it's UNCENSORED.
